FAQs
What does an Executive Coach do?
An executive coach is a professional who specializes in helping executives and other leaders reach their full potential. As your coach, I will serve as your: mirror, sounding board, critic and supporter. I am in your corner – helping you become more successful in every part of your life. I will ask questions, offer perspective, conduct assessments, help you gain new insights, brainstorm alternatives, and help you recognize and create opportunities for yourself and those you work with. I will combine my insight, perspective and energy with yours to help you take the actions that will help you achieve your most important goals. My agenda is your success.
How long is a typical coaching engagement?
Each coaching engagement is customized depending on the leader’s needs. The typical duration of coaching relationship will vary from three months to a year or more. The ultimate duration of the engagement is entirely up to the client and is primarily driven by their progress and the complexity of their development goals. My objective is to enable you to learn quickly and effectively and to continue to growth independently.
What does a typical engagement entail?
At the beginning of the engagement we typically conduct any necessary assessments and establish an initial focus for our work together. These assessments can include a 360 degree feedback instrument that can provide a baseline to measure future progress. The assessment is often followed by in-depth interviews with the executive’s feedback providers (this can include peers, manager, customers and employees).
Once our initial areas of focus are defined, we begin the next phase of our work together. This generally takes the form of weekly meetings and/or conversations. We will discuss your interactions and communications, examine opportunities for development and plan for upcoming interactions.
A coaching engagement will typically include the following:
- A no-cost initial meeting
- Initial skills, behavior and style assessments
- In depth interviews with direct reports, peers, and customers
- Scheduled face-to-face coaching sessions
- At work shadowing and coaching
- Scheduled telephone conversations
- As needed coaching support via e-mail and telephone
- Assistance creating key communications
- Clearly defined action plans based on your goals and needs
- Suggested readings
- Progress reports
How much does a typical engagement cost?

My commitment is to be a full partner with the leaders and companies I work with to produce tangible business results.
